[1:03:29] As a son, I have been disloyal. 為人子,我不孝
[1:03:31] As a subject, I have been disloyal. 為人臣,我不忠
[1:03:35] And one who acts disloyally wins no fame in this world. 一個不忠不孝之人 已無顏面在這個世上苟活
[1:03:42] I ask leave to follow the former emperor in death. 我請求追隨先帝而去
[1:03:49] My only request is to be buried in the mausoleum at the foot of Mount Li. 我唯一的要求,就是把我的遺體 葬在驪山腳下的陵墓裡
[1:03:57] I can but hope that the emperor will take pity and grant my request. 希望皇上憐憫,答應我這個請求
[1:04:07] I will pass on your request to the emperor 我會把你的請求稟告給皇上
[1:04:11] and bid him give this matter his full attention at his earliest convenience. 請求皇上盡快處理此事
[1:04:21] Prince Gao offered to kill himself 公子高提出自行了斷
[1:04:23] to save his family from suffering the same fate as his brothers and sisters. 以拯救家人免於遭受 和他的兄弟姊妹一樣的命運
[1:04:29] I think what Prince Gao did was a heroic and brave act. 我認為公子高所做的事 是英勇而高尚的行為
[1:04:34] And that is probably why the story attracted special attention from Sima Qian 而這大概就是 此故事引起司馬遷特別關注
[1:04:40] and made its way into the Shiji. 並被載入《史記》的原因
[1:04:48] Sima Qian also tells us 司馬遷亦告訴我們
[1:04:49] that Hu Hai was delighted reading the letter from Prince Gao. 胡亥讀到公子高的信函時很高興
